This Series is Completely Addictive!!!!!

The Second installment starts where Into The Darkness leaves off, with Karolyn , the Shade , Lightening, and her looking for more clues. Getting invited to the mayor's autumn ball she needs to act like a dim witted reporting blogger asking questions that really don't matter. She notices someone there she believes she recognized, but could it be? Of course Lightening is at her side trying to keep the mayor off her trail by having a heated moment while shes trying to dig. It doesn't end there tho ..Later the lightening the first superhuman to mark her or half mark her shows at her home,and she gives in to his cravings and her own as well. Afterwards feeling safe lightening can't seem to handle the magic of his own mark , and busts out hurting Kathryn at the same time. The Shade the dark vigilante feels her emotions, and comes to her , giving her what she needs as well, trying to prove himself, but the things she uncovers makes her wonder whose side is he really on? Who can be trusted? Just when she thinks nothing can get any worse,, the Bright shows up, the dangerous and some would say the mayor's closest supe..Will Kathryn actually come out of this alive? Or was getting marked by two enemies cause more harm then any could imagine? Must read series! This is the second part and it's more thrilling, exciting, sexually arousing the deeper the darkness takes us! Nora Ash has done a brilliant job at keeping this series captivating! Hidden in Darkness - The Continuing Story of Kathryn, Lightning, and The Shade!!! An Excellent Read!!!!

Hidden in Darkness - Book 2 in the Darkness Series
This is the continuing story of Kathryn Smith and her two Superhumans Lightning and The Shade. Now this was actually the first book in the series that I read, and you get enough background that you don't feel lost not having read the first novel in the series before hand. You will however want to read it later to see how everything came to pass which is where I am at now. Just because you want to see how they all ended up where they are.
This book started with Kathryn already marked by both The Shade and Lightning. Lightning had marked her first, and The Shade had put his mark on top of his. They both felt a pull towards Kathryn, and needed to protect her.
Kathryn is in danger as she was investigating the mayor's involvement with the criminal supes. The reporter who had done this before her had been killed, and it looked like she was on her was to having that happen to her as well.
She had better be careful, even with protection danger is everywhere. Now she is marked by two supes who can't stand each other, and both want her. They don't know how they will deal with that, or with her.
With bad guys, supes, and two guys fighting over one girl you know nothing will be easy. It will however be an excellent read!!!

A decent read

Book 2 is well written, flows smoothly, and the plot holds my attention. However, I feel no emotionally connection to the three main characters, in fact the heroine is annoying and wishy washy. I admire her somewhat reckless bravery when it comes to her investigation of possible corruption in tne mayors office, but roll my eyes at her allowing herself to used a sexual pawn in the feud between Shade and Lightning. In fact her first sexual encounter with Shade (in an earlier part) was disturbing, dark, and kind of icky.
I will continue to read the series as I want to see how it plays out, all due to the talent of the author. I even found Book 1 and paid to read it. I received this book free of charge for an honest review, and I look forward to reading other titles also.
